Hi there!!! I thought I’d do one better than just showing you a picture of me eating them, or something. I’m going to show you how I make maple pancakes!!!

To start off, you’re going to need…

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Also, two mixing bowls and some measuring cups/spoons!

First, add all of the dry ingredients - the flour, baking powder, and salt - into the bigger mixing bowl, then set that aside for a moment!

Next, carefully combine milk…

vegetable oil…

and my favorite, Maple, into the “wet ingredients” bowl. Be sure to used MAPLE SYRUP, and not Maple-flavoured syrup. It’s just a little bit gross if you do it that way…

It says a tablespoon, but I like to just eyeball it…

…Heh. Anyway …

*ahem* Okay! Next, stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well blended. Make sure it looks like a batter and isn’t too chunky. If it’s a little too thin, like mine was from all the syrup, you can just add a bit more flour.

For added flavour, I’m putting in Maple Granules that I have, but it’s not necessary to the recipe.

Now, lightly grease a pan!!

And finally, dollop an appropriate amount of batter into the pan. Flip when the sides and top begin to bubble.

The first batch is for Alfred.

And now, to make mine..!

I make really big pancakes for myself. Sometimes, I just eat them like this. But today, I’m going to show you what my favourite thing to do with them is…

And that’s that!!

…Oh. One more thing.

Pancakes and Maple Syrup — My Favourite Food!!!

Sorry for the long post, but this is the Canada for the Ask the Allies group I’m apart of. She makes such a lovely Canada and I wanted to share this recipe with you all. It looks absolutely scrumptious and I’m dying to try it out myself!
